Claim: Disagreement related to products and/or services.
Complaint: Disagreement not related to products and/or services, such as discomfort or dissatisfaction with customer service.

Claim: Discontent related to products and/or services.
Complaint: Discontent not related to products and/or services, such as discomfort or dissatisfaction with customer service.

According to the provisions of the complaints book and the norms of the Consumer Protection and Defense Code, the virtual complaints book may be used by consumers to present their complaints and claims. The filing of the complaint does not prevent access to other dispute resolution avenues nor is it a requirement to file a complaint with INDECOPI.

The supplier must respond to the complaint or claim within a period not exceeding fifteen (15) business days, which is non-extendable.
